    Default getting username

    How do I get the username of the user submitting an ASP page ? Users are on Win 95 machines, network in NT, and the web server is NT.

    Thanks, but that comes up blank for me. Any ideas why ? I&#039m logged in on my NT server....am I connecting to the web server &#039anonomously&#039 ? How do I not connect &#039anonomously&#039 ?

    You to setup your page for NT Chanlleged authentication, if you using IIS 4.0, <BR>1. goto IIS manager<BR>2. right click on page you want to authenticate<BR>3. choose properties<BR>4. File Scurity<BR>5. Edit, uncheck everything accept on "Basic Authenication", click on Edit, and type in Domain you will like to authenticate <BR>on e.g YourDomain and thats it. <BR><BR>This should work now using Servervariables("AUTH_USER")<BR><BR><BR>
