    Default date() in .net ??

    Can I not set a variable to the current date using date()as I could in classic asp? i.e.:<BR><BR>currentdate = date()<BR><BR>When I do this I get an error that says:<BR>&#039;Date&#039; is a type, and so is not a valid expression.<BR>

    Default RE: date() in .net ??

    currentdate = DateTime.Now.ToString("d")
