Ive got an asp page whcih is supposed to execute a vbs file. My code looks like this, as previously posted:

<%
Dim WshShell

Set WshShell = Server.CreateObject ("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.Run ("d:/registration/copytxt2.wsh")
Set WshShell = Nothing
%>

What permissions do i need to set to enable me to run this script from asp and how do i go about setting them. Thx

OK. first thing to note. If your ASP script has permissions to run this VBS file, you can just run the code directly in ASP without all that messing about

you need to ensure the ASP script hosting it runs in the context of a privileged user. you do this one of two ways :

1. enable authentication and login as a privileged user - recommended
2. change the user account used for anonymous access - not recommended
