Good morning. I am working on an asp file that is scripted in Perl. Basically, it is a combination of a banner rotation and time clock that I am calling from another asp file. The banner rotation section basically takes a delimited list of variables (image, text, and url). Then it rotates the image with associated text and link.

What I would like to do is ONLY have links shown for those images that have associated URLs. Some of the images do not have links to them. I tried a variety of different codes within the banner/clock asp file, including <%if $url%><%endif%> and currently I have these codes between <% %> of the banner rotation section:

if ($Image == $url) {
$output .= "<a href=\"$url\"><img SRC=\"$img\" alt=\"Rotating Image\" border=\"0\"></a>";
$output .= " </td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" bgcolor=\"EEEEEE\"><div align=\"center\">";
$output .= "<center><table border=\"1\" width=\"100%\" cellpadding=\"2\" cellspacing=\"0\">";
$output .= "<tr><td><font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"1\"><b>Photo Caption:</b>";
$output .= " <a href=\"$url\">$text</a></font></td>";
$output .= "</tr></table></center></div></td></tr>";
}
else {
$output .="<img SRC=\"$img\" alt=\"Rotating Image\" border=\"0\">";
$output .= " </td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" bgcolor=\"EEEEEE\"><div align=\"center\">";
$output .= "<center><table border=\"1\" width=\"100%\" cellpadding=\"2\" cellspacing=\"0\">";
$output .= "<tr><td><font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"1\"><b>Photo Caption:</b>";
$output .= " $text</font></td>";
$output .= "</tr></table></center></div></td></tr>";
}
$output .="</table></center></div>";

Then after the %> I have called the variable, $output, by using the following code: <%=$output%>.

The problem is that images that do not have URLS are linked to the asp directory where I have this asp file located.

Anyone know how I can solve this problem.

TIA.

Regards,

Eliot Lee
