I need to locate records in my Access database where a date field is blank. Using datepart does not seem to work. Any suggestions?
isNull(fieldName)=1 or fieldName=""
select * from table where datefield is null
required the stupid isNull thing...<BR><BR>oh well
sorry guys<BR>neither isnull(datefield) = 1 or datefield = null work.<BR>
You can do WHERE IsNull(Field) = True.
http://www.aspmessageboard.com/forum/asp.asp?M=678649&F=20&P=1<BR><BR>Unless, of course, the data isn't NULL.
is null returns true or false<BR><BR>Select * From ... where isnull(datefield)<BR><BR>or<BR>Select * From ... Where datefield is null<BR><BR>Unless of course the field is not actaully NULL!
That worked.<BR>Thanks guys<BR>
