I have set up a web page that loops through the contents of a directory and displays each file as a link. The problem is that the files won't open unless they also exist in the wwwroot directory.

Here's the code:
<%

Set fs = Server.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject" )
Set fldr = fs.GetFolder( "C:Forecast" )
For Each File in fldr.files
%>

<a href="<%=File.Name%>"><%=File. Name%>

<%
Next
%>

So, C:Forecast has the files I want to view, and the web page seems to be picking up the contents directly. But if I try to click on the link to the file, I get a page can't be displayed error. If I move a copy of the files into the web directory, then it works fine.

What's up with this?

Thx.
