Default server.transfer

I have tried to use the following code.
server.transfer("Main.asp?Action=update") It producces the following error (Invalid URL form or fully-qualified absolute URL was used. Use relative URLs.) Every where I read it says it act just like server.execute which allows url parameters. Any thoughts. I tried using response.redirect but it gives me a header error because the page using the server.transefer or response.redirect is a page called by server.execute from another page which writes out header information.
Default RTFM.

    Read this:

Quote:
However, the path parameter must not contain a query string, or ASP returns an error.
