Default Redirect broken links

    Hi,

We have completely changed our website's structure. Old directories are gone and new one's have been created. It works fine besides of one problem.
I have tried to update the search engines such as Google etc. That should be working after a while. But anyway, several other sites have links to our website. Many of these links are now broken and I wonder if there is a way to catch a html request in the root of our site to check if it is dead. And if so, I would like to redirect them to our startpage instead.

Appreciate any help!

Best Regards
Niklas

Are you allowed custom 404's on your server?

(Does your webhosts allow it or are you on your own dedicated server)?

If so that is the way to do it.
