I have a form (it&#039;s actually a windows form) with a combo box so the user can choose a file path. When execution of a particular method begins, I need to use the path entered on the form and perform a substring and several other operations on it. The problem is that the string is automatically being unescaped by the "@" directive being added at the beginning of it when I read the SelectedItem, SelectedText, etc of the combobox. Once this happens I cannot perform any string operations on the value, and if I do I just get an error that the method or property does not exist.<BR><BR>I would like to know if anyone has a way to work around this or if I am just going about the problem wrong. Sorry if this has already been answered, I didn&#039;t find it by searching the forum or google.
