    Default COM Objects

The literature I have read says that you can create COM objects with Visual Basic 6.0. Can you use Visual Basic 5.0 instead? It can create ActiveX DLLs.

most certainly! The good thing about VB 6.0 is it has some sweet utilities (class builder) which will make your coding more structured and much easier. <BR><BR>If you have any of the asp packages or related servers installed, then you can set the referecne to asp object library when creating COM obj. This will allow you to create web page consumer and provider component. You can also create business component as an in-process (components that cannot run on their own activex dll) and out-of process components (components that can run on their own like Activex exe) using both VB 5 and Vb 6.
