Default SPLIT function in Oracle?

    Hi,

I like the way VBScript has the SPLIT function where you can take a text phrase and create an array where each word is just one element in the array. I was wondering if Oracle could do this. Thanks in advance!

    Default Probably should ask...

...in an Oracle forum. You certainly couldn't make use of it in a simple SQL query, even if it existed. You'd have to use it in a stored procedure.

Note that SQL Server does *not* have such a thing. (Well...until "Yukon", where you can write C#/VB.NET code and use it in your SP's and queries.)
