    Default ASP.NET Database Problem

    where should I place Connection.Open() method to get the best out of it.<BR><BR>Before executing each Command.ExecuteNonQuery() in the application? <BR><BR>In protected void Application_Start(Object sender, EventArgs e) from Global.asax file? <BR><BR>or in protected void Session_Start(Object sender, EventArgs e) <BR>from Global.asax file? <BR><BR><BR>Where should I place Connection.Close() method? <BR><BR>after executing each Command.ExecuteNonQuery() method in the application. <BR><BR>in protected void Application_End(Object sender, EventArgs e) method from Global.asax file? <BR><BR>in protected void Session_End(Object sender, EventArgs e) method from Global.asax file?

    Default RE: ASP.NET Database Problem

    as close to where you actually use the connection as possible. no point having it hanging open for longer than you need to.
