Default Response.End() inside If...Then

    HI all:

I can't seem to get Response.End() to fire inside the structure of an IF...Then. But dumb stubborness is telling me it makes sense sometimes to use it this way. Am I banging my head against a tree?

If ("" & strVar) <> "" Then
Do THis Code
Response.End()
Else
Do this code
End If

Is it that asp wants to work through the If..Then till the end, no matter what?

Thanks

KurtW

    Default You've got a code goof, then

    You simply must not be hitting the Response.End line. Period.

To prove it, convert that to
Response.Write "<H1>DAMMIT! END!</H1>"

and see if the message shows up. I'm betting it won't.
