Default RequiredFieldValidator

    Hi guys,

I have a question concerning the RequiredFieldValidator. I'm trying to use it on a webform in .NET. The application that is using the validator is a XML based forum. The validator is used on the subject and message fields when posting a new message. However, when you input text including tags, the answer is an exception saying that this could be dangerous. In my case that is perfectly safe since the text is stored in a CDATA element in my XML file. So my question is, how do I get the validator to stop raising exceptions over this, or how do I catch these exceptions? the Validate() method on the validator is called automaticly, so i can't put a try block around that... Could somebody please help me?

Regards

Andreas
