...this is VB.

I'm trying to use MDI forms. To be honest, I think I'm trying to fudge them to get the effect I'm after. That's why I'm getting problems.

What I want is a way of having a form on one side of the screen, and another form on the left. In HTML it's simple. I want two frames. Oh, and I have a menu in the MDI form. File, Help, that kinda thing.

Now. I did have a simple function that took my "menu" form and placed it at (0,0) in the MDI and took my "live" form and placed it at (objMenu.width, 0) in the form.
Works fine. Form loads. Shows menu at the top, shows my "menu" form on the left, and the other form on the right. Great.

However, when I call it for a second time, I lose the menu along the top. The "File" etc. Both the other two frames move to 0,0 and obliterate the other menu...

Basically. Is there a way I can achieve what I'm after...? Tutorials/examples, anything.

Craig.
