    Default help me get re-started here, will you?

    over the past year or so then i&#039;ve been coming to this site, i&#039;ve learned alot about asp programming......<BR><BR>however, i&#039;m not very experienced in setting myself up with IIS and preparing a nice little work environment for myself.<BR><BR>i was wondering if anyone here might be able to help me figure out where i need to be saving my asp pages so that they might be available for viewing through my browser.<BR><BR>i just installed IIS, and i&#039;ve got an asp page ready, but each time i try to view it i&#039;m finding that i&#039;m unable to.<BR><BR>i&#039;m saving the page here:<BR><BR>C:Inetpubwwwrootdate.asp<BR><BR>can anyone help me get started? i would really appreciate it. thanks in advance for any help you can provide!<BR><BR><BR>

    Default You're saving to the ..

    .. correct place.<BR><BR>Now, open a browser and in the address bar go to:<BR>http://servername/date.asp<BR><BR>In servername, if the computer is on the LAN, use the servername OR the IP address. For instance, the server&#039;s name is "websrv1":<BR>http://websrv1/help.asp<BR><BR><BR>If the server is YOUR machine, then, you can use "localhost":<BR>http://localhost/help.asp<BR><BR>If it&#039;s a remote server (ISP/web host), use the IP or the domain name.<BR><BR>
