i'm calling recordsets based on a column that contains values A-Z only. this is how i'm sorting my data when it's called. now i want to be able to show all the records that contain A in this one field, and be able to page to the records that contain B, but this needs to be done with a single link (a next/back button). i know how to do generic paging, but i'm lost as how to get my querystring variable nPage +/-1 to go to the next or previous letter. does this make sense? basically i'm paging with letters instead of numbers. i've looked at some old posts on here and i've found some ASCII stuff where ASC("B") = 66, but i'm lost. how do i get nPage = ASC("B")-1, which would take me to the A page? i think i'm confusing myself... hope this makes sense.
