Default Newbie security question

    Hello,

I've got a sql server database and an .asp page accessing the data, conecting using a dsn. I've set up the users in SQL server to allow IUSR_ComputerName read access. Now - when I set up the dsn, and I'm asked how SQL Server should verify the authenticity of the Login ID - I use SQL Server Authentication - using IUSR_ComputerName as the Login ID and leave the password blank.. is this the best/correct way to do it???

A newbiew question I know but any help would be apreciated..

Thanks.

you could create a new Login for you SQL server Database which only has read access to the database.
then use that user and password in your DSN.
