I posted a variation of this a while ago, but I need a different answer if one is available.

I have a search that, when the search results are displayed, I want to show the user what they have searched upon. So, lets say they search for 'Test', that gets stored in a variable strKeywords. When displaying the search results it is something like:

Your search for <%=strKeywords%> has produced the following results:

This works fine until someone searches on something like <marquee> or . When anything is in <> it inturprets the keyword as an HTML tag.

What I started off doing is looking at the string and replacing '<' and '>' with &_lt and &_gt (without '_'). That works alright but it won't catch things that I have not thought of.

So, is there anyway to display that variable strKeywords without it being inturpretted as HTML, no matter what is written?

Thanks in advance.
