Default COM support in .net

I have a COM object at work that was written in VB 6. It's used to drive content on our ASP based website. We are looking into integrating into Flash with the use of Flash Remoting, but it only is supported under .net. Will we experience any issues with backwards compatibility and stability if we move to .Net? Will the object require any updates in order to get it to work correctly? Thanks in advance.

    Default COM interop well documented

You can even interop with non-COM DLLs if you need/want (I have).

There's several tutorials and I don't know what-all in the MSDN docs.
