Default Utilizing Comma Delimited information...

    I&#039m using an outside credit card verification company which instantaneously approves/declines credit card transactions. I&#039m trying to figure out how to integrate it into my website.

When the credit card information is submitted, it returns a comma delimited string as the reply. The problem is - i&#039m not exactly sure how to parse this information with ASP, so that i can format the results. Any suggestions?

thanks!

    There is a function called "Split" that you can use.
EX:
varArrayName = Split(dataString,",")

The dataString represents the comma delimited string that you receive. The comma with in the quotes is just to tell the function what the delimiter is. varArrayName is now an array. Use the uBound function to get the upper bound of the array and you can now loop through through it.

EX:
varArrayName = Split(dataString,",")
counter = uBound(varArrayName)-1

For i = 0 To counter
response.write varArrayName( i )
Next
