I am developing an ASP based site to create web pages online. It uses a SQL Server backend. The question that I have is in regards to doing authentication. I&#039m just using a typical approach where the user enters their id and password to be autheticated. Based on that info (and if it is verified) the script submits an "agent_code" that matches to the next page. Would I be better off using a Stored Procedure to do this or should I just stick with a SQL statement that is created on the fly? I know that Stored Procedures are supposed to be more efficient but didn&#039t know if this was an exception or not. Thanks.
