    Can someone please explain the following line to me.<BR><BR>if inStr(request.form("rp"), "a_1") &#060;&#062; 0 then<BR><BR>what is inStr and ("rp"), "a_1") mean.<BR><BR>I understand request.form("rp") means the value of rp.<BR><BR>but the coma or the "a_1" if foreign to me.<BR>

    InStr looks for the string you specify in another string. It returns a numer representing the position of the string.<BR><BR>So in your example...<BR><BR>if inStr(request.form("rp"), "a_1") &#060;&#062; 0 then<BR><BR>instr is looking in the request.form("rp"), for the string "a_1".<BR><BR>If it is found (&#060;&#062; 0) Then do whatever...<BR><BR><BR>HTH<BR><BR>Jerry<BR><BR>
