    Default .MDB File Size

    If a access file gets to large, will it hurt the server, or will it make the site slowers?<BR><BR>When is an access file marked as "to big." My current access file is .63MB, is that large or small?

    You be the judge of that, I mean test your web site/application!<BR><BR>Is it slow? <BR>Is there anything you can do? <BR>Is there enough RAM on the server?<BR>What&#039;s the machine/OS/CPU used by the machine?<BR><BR>Create indexes, relations, normalization, test/check all of these...<BR><BR><BR>If you find your web site/application to be slow taking all these aboved mentioned specs into account then perhaps you might want to think into upgrading to SQL Server<BR><BR>Access can hold millions and millions of records no problem.<BR><BR>How do you access these/the data ?<BR><BR>Are you using a Recordset or GetRows ?<BR><BR>Hope this helps!<BR>Sincerely<BR><BR>Vlince

    Default Compact & Repair

    If you do a compact and repair I bet it&#039;ll reduce that to 1/3 or less of its original size.
