Default Size really matters...

    Hi,
I'm back with more questions concerning the problems with tooo big recordset to be displayed...When I try to display all the records from rs for particular date (e.g. LoggedAt between '07/31/2003 00:00:00' and '07/31/2003 23:59:59') I get:
'The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.'
But when I change the time part of SQL to be between 00:00:00 to 15:00:00 for example, it works fine.
SO I guess , the size of rs really matters (for IIS or IE).
rs with my SQL statement contained approx 13000 records - is it too big to be displayed?
Mr.M

    13,000 records? yes, too big.

the significant thing for me is that this many records are just beyond usable by a human being, so why do you want to display them??

j
Default I agree with Atrax...

...and strongly suggest you split them up into smaller chunks. There are various FAQs etc. on this site (if I'm not mistaken) which show you how to page through a large recordset.

Oliver.
