    Default Microsoft Word and Caching

    Is it possible that Word Caches copies of word documents when you click a document link on a web site ?<BR><BR>How would I get round this? normally I put a timestamp after the url of web pages would this work on docs ?<BR><BR>MyDoc.doc?280720031657

    yes, it does cache if you&#039;re using IE. it&#039;s a &#039;feature&#039; designed to make sure you don&#039;t download the same document multiple times, thus wasting your bandwidth.<BR><BR>try the timestamp trick, if it doesn&#039;t work, try streaming the file to the browser :<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>j<BR>
