Default XCOPY

I’m trying to create a app that would allow me to use the command line XCOPY in order to push updated files from my staging environment to my Production environment. I know how to use xcopy but I was wondering if there was any way to output the results or findings from XCOPY to a txt file which ultimately could be used to report from. Any ideas!

Default DOS allows you to pipe..

.. results to a text file for ANY command.

Go to the command line and do:
DIR > temp.txt

You'll see a new temp.txt file is created/overwritten.
