Hi,

Im sure that there are a 100 articles and posts discussing what Im about to ask, but despite my hunting, I cannot find an answer.

All I want to do is be able to get the image height and width from an image at some arbitrary URL.

Getting the height and width from a local image seems simplicity itself, but all my efforts to get info from a URL have failed. Im -certain- its staring me in the face, but Im losing my hair with this seemlingly simple challenge.

If the file is local, this works just fine:

string strImageFile = Page.MapPath("myImage.jpg");
Mybmp = new Bitmap(strImageFile, false);
int MyImgHeight = Mybmp .Height;
int MyImgWidth = Mybmp .Width;

....but I cant feed it with a remote URL. Surely there is a simple solution??
