I would to know if there is a way of using ASP to upload files to a Web Server. Furtherore, I would like to know if it is possible to create an application of shared directories with ASP. This application should support creation of directories (with subdirectories), file upload into a specific directory, file deletion. Anyone got an idea of how to do this with ASP?

    Here is a link to how to create the folder.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/scripting/vbscript/doc/vsmthCreateFolder.htm
This is the actual code that I use to create the directory
Dim fso, f, strpath
strpath = "C:webdocs\" & strUserLogin & "\"
Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
set f = fso.CreateFolder(strPath)
Response.write "The folder C:webdocs\" & strUserLogin & " was created.
"

I create folder name as that of the Logged in user. As far as sharing goes, I am not using ntcr to Log my users in so the Directory can only be created for that individual user.

I am using a database to control my login and file access. So you can create the shared directory before hand and provide specific users with a link to that directory.

I hope I was clear in conveying this information to you, but if I wasn&#039t email me at webmaster@wnj.com and I will explain in more detail.

Oh, I am using SA-Fileup as my uploading control.

http://www.activeserverpages.com/components/uploadsimple.asp
http://www.softartisans.com/

Respectfully,

Jason
webmaster@wn j.com
