    Default ADO error routines

    Can anyone please reply with a standard/common error checking routine that I can use after I have done any ADO SQL statement in ASP. <BR><BR>Also if you could possibly post some of the different error return codes for INSERT, UPDATE etc. that I could check for in ASP.<BR><BR>Thanx alot

    You&#039;ll want to do something like this:<BR>On Error Resume Next &#039; This allows errors to be trapped<BR><BR>Then check for the errors with the following after you execute your code:<BR><BR>If Err.Number &#060;&#062; 0 Then<BR>...<BR>End If<BR><BR>As for the different error codes returned for failed INSERT and UPDATE statements, I would suggest looking at the documentation for your DBMS. If SQL, use BOL (Books Online).
