You don't open connections to tables - you open connections to databases.

What exactly are you after? It's perfectly possible to have connections to two databases, and it's perfectly possible to join two tables.

Craig.
What I want is to join two tables from two databases under one object...
something like what they have here:
http://www.aspfaqs.com/aspfaqs/ShowFAQ.asp?FAQID=154

but that each table is in another database.
I have this code:
strSQL = "SELECT tblAuthor.Username, tblAuthor.Author_ID, tblAuthor.Author_email, tblThread.Topic_ID "
strSQL = strSQL & "FROM tblAuthor INNER JOIN tblThread ON tblAuthor.Author_ID = tblThread.Author_ID "
strSQL = strSQL & "WHERE (tblThread.Topic_ID =" & lngTopicID & ") AND (tblThread.Email_notify = True) "
strSQL = strSQL & "ORDER BY tblAuthor.Author_ID ASC;"

and it all good... BUT the problem is that I have this admin account that has it's own database... and in that case I need a sql statment like that but I need to change the table "tblAuthor" to the table of the admin which is on another database.
