    I have read the FAQ on this, but how should I handle this situation when it occurs (after a check reveals an apostrophe)?<BR>What then?

    Use the REPLACE function of VBscript.<BR>For example:<BR>mystr = "O&#039Neil"<BR>mystr = Replace(mystr, "&#039", "&#039&#039&#039")<BR>

    And actually, if you want to make a real apostrophy like this one ’...instead of using this code: var = replace(var, "&#039", "&#039&#039") use this: var = replace(var, "&#039", "& # 146;") (NOTE: the "&" "#" and "146;" should be run together without any spaces. I couldn&#039t get the code to display and not write an ’ without putting spaces in between! Sorry...)
