Default problems with queries in access

I have a table called "test" that has columns "name" and "date". I connect to Access 97 from my asp code fine. For some reason, the following query works when given to recordset object<BR>"select * from test order by name", <BR>but this query doesn&#039t <BR>"select * from test order by date". I get the following error:<BR><BR>"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039 8007000e&#039 <BR>[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] System resource exceeded."<BR><BR>Would anyone happen to know why I can order on some fields, but not on others?<BR><BR>thanks<BR><BR>

Default Date is a reserved word...

Access doesn&#039t appreciate your attempt to use the keyword "date" as a common field name. I would suggest renaming your column to something a little less common in programming languages -- ie: "dDate"

Default RE: problems with queries in access

This issue got resolved. It turned out that there was another process running on that server that had a memory leak and was eating up all the resources. Thus the error.
