Default Need a database editor for SQL Server 2000

Hello all. I have spent some time crawling around the forums in the last 24 hours. I have now successfully set up a database on the SQL Server, and connected via Enterprise Manager (yee-haw and yes I am a newb)! Now I am ready to set up a simple ASP interface.

I have downloaded a few off the internet but just cant seem to get them working (they seem to all be for an Access DB). I am suspicious the code was screwy in one and English was not the first language of the author of yet another.

Honestly I think I am botching the ADO connection string. So I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a simple ASP database editor for use with SQL Server 2000. Idealy I want to be able to drop in the server IP, username/Password, and database name, and be ready to go.
Information regarding connecting via ASP to an SQL Server database would be appreciated as well.

Thanks
