I am using an HTML form to write to a SQL database with an ASP script. Normally everything works fine. I have recently run into a problem. I tried using the form recently and I encountered this error. FYI.... I am using varchar with that accepts 8000 characters.

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039 80040e14&#039

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot create a row of size 8674 which is greater than the allowable maximum of 8060.

If I do a word count in MS Word the text that I am submitting only adds up to 3,820 (with spaces). I am replacing vbCrLf with and &#039 with &#039&#039. Even after account for all of this I am nowhere close to the 8000 characters that I have the varchar field set to accept. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I suspect that extra characters are being submitted but I do not know when, when or how to fix it. Do you have any ideas on what I could do to solve my problem.
Thanks
abe
