Default & Oracle - adChar vs. adVarchar

I have taken over some ASP code for an Oracle database, and I noticed that when we pass parameters from ASP that match up to a varchar2 field in Oracle, we use the adChar datatype from Using adVarchar doesn&#039t work. Does IIS recognize the varchar2 datatype in Oracle?

Thanks!

Default RE: & Oracle - adChar vs. adVarchar

Everytime I use a VARCHAR2 datatype in Oracle, I used the adChar type in ASP(VBScript). I tried the same experiment, but its rediculous how "touchy" a specific driver can be. It&#039s actually the driver that is having the problem, not IIS.

HTH
Steve
