Hi,<BR>I&#039m trying to create a command to an Oracle database with the following code:<BR>Set cn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<BR>set cm = server.createobject("ADODB.Command")<BR><BR>strCon n = "DSN=etc.;UID=etc.;PWD=etc.;"<BR>cn.Open strConn<BR><BR>cm.ActiveConnection = cn<BR><BR>cm.CommandText = "Select serial_no from ? where model_no = &#039V230HV&#039"<BR>cm.CommandTimeout = 50<BR>cm.CommandType = adCmdUnknown<BR>cm.parameters.refresh &#060;------- LINE 39<BR>cm(0) = "SUMMARY"<BR><BR>but get the following error:<BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039 80040e14&#039 <BR><BR>[Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle]ORA-00903: invalid table name <BR><BR>/WorkingScripts/Select_test.asp, line 39 <BR><BR>Is using a parameter to pass a table name illegal? When I hard code the table name and pass a field name through a parameter using the same code everything works fine.<BR><BR>Thanks!<BR>
