    Default Saving an SQL Table to Excel

    I know that you can do this with the DTS wizard. And I know that it is possible to do anything done in SQL Enterprise Manager using T-SQL.<BR><BR>What is the SQL syntax to export a SQL database table and save in MS Excel format? I would like to use this function in an Intranet application.<BR><BR>Thanks in advance for your advice!

    Hi,<BR><BR>There&#039s an article on about exporting the results of a query to an excel file. It isn&#039t direct - you run a query, create an excel file, and then send the results to it... <BR><BR>hope that helps,<BR>geoff

    Yes! I had never even heard of CodeAve. Interesting site.<BR>Even though it&#039s not a direct method, it&#039s a start.<BR><BR>I know this can be done directly. I WILL find out how.<BR>When I do I&#039ll share the method with all.<BR><BR>Thank you Geoff!
