Default sourcesafe prob

Anyone has a idea how to get a file to be made editable if that file is included in visual sourcesafe project
I have a project which I have included in sourcesafe and a part of program is used to write data to another file in
the same project(which is also in VSS) . But since under VSS all files are readonly, the changes being made to the file
are not being reflected. If I remove the readonly prop of the file it works , but then whats the point in using VSS.
Any idea if some settings need to be implemented to solve this.
Thank you very much.

If you are going to write/overwrite a file with code at run-time, that file probably shouldn't be source controled.

Open VSS and delete that file where it appears in the project.
