I had XP Pro without IIS initially. Then installed the .NET-framework 1.1, and the IIS 5.1.<BR><BR>aspx-files were not handled correctly and just returned verbatim.<BR><BR>I uninstalled .NET-framework, and reinstalled it. Now aspx-files are handled correctly.
I understand why it didn't do that, however since IIS isn't installed by default, but the dotnet-framework is (thru windows update), this must be a common scenario.<BR><BR>If Microsoft wanted, the installation of the dotnet-framework could have left a hook to be used when IIS is installed afterwards. But I just guess that MS do not want us to use aspx :-)
