I am upsizing an access DB to SQL.

I am currently re-writing some queries which are used to format data which is downloaded from another system.

The only problem is that not all of the fields are downloaded every time. In access this isn't a problem as a text box pops up titled 'Enter parameter value' and the query will still run. However in SQL when creating a view, if the field is not present in the DB it causes an error.

Is there any way of saying use this field only if present? Or something like that?

Thanks
