    Default Dynamic ids and DOM

Is there a way to access an element on an html page without using getElementByID when the element has a dynamic id?Say an element can have an id id1,id2 etc.Is there a way to access this element using Javascript in IE4 that does not support getElementByID?

Default If it's a form field, yes...

    &#060;FORM Name="TheForm"&#062;<BR>...<BR>&#060;INPUT Name="TheField"&#062;<BR>...<BR><BR>Then<BR> document.TheForm.TheField<BR>addresses it.<BR><BR>But I presume you wanted more than that?<BR><BR>
