I am running SQL Server 2000, and I want to be able to write a query that pulls data from one database and puts it in another database, both on the same SQL server. Is that possible?<BR><BR>Here is my example. I have two databases, one called LMData that is provided by our software vendor and we arent allowed to create tables in it. I have another database called HomeOffice that I created and I want to pull some data from the LMData database and put it in the HomeOffice database. Can this be done with a query, or stored procedure? If not, what is the best way to do it. I would settle for just getting an entire copy of a couple of the tables into the HomeOffice database, but I would prefer to have criteria on the data that is pulled over.<BR><BR>Thanks.
