ok, I'm doing application testing on a free asp.net hosting site, but as an enticement to pay money for a real account, the site turns off code-behind for free accounts. I must therefore put my code in a <script language="C#"> tag. Can I declare variables inside the script tag whose scope is not limited to any one function within the <script> tag? In other words, can I create the equivalent of a code-behind class data member within the <script> tag? I need to have DataTable and OleDbConnection objects that are used by multiple functions so this becomes necessary. Thanks a lot for your help.
