    Default Overflow: 'cint'

    update_balance = balance + cint(tmp_new_balance_receiving) - tmp_new_balance_issue<BR><BR>My code above generate this error.<BR><BR>Microsoft VBScript runtime error &#039;800a0006&#039; <BR><BR>Overflow: &#039;cint&#039; <BR><BR>What does it mean? Thanks.

    This is the JSCRIPT forum.<BR><BR>And that&#039;s *clearly* a VBScript error. And question.<BR><BR>What&#039;s it go to do with JScript?<BR><BR>Anyway...<BR><BR>CINT( ) can only be used to get *integers* (whole numbers, no digits after the decimal point) in the rang of -32768 to +32767. An number outside that range will give an overflow error.<BR><BR>Since you say this if for a *balance*, which I *presume* means dollars and cents, the last thing you want is to use CINT that would strip off the cents in any case.<BR><BR>You want to use CDBL instead of CINT.<BR>
