    Hi all<BR><BR>I have been getting a error with my asp scrpit as follows:<BR><BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039;80040e31&#039; <BR><BR>[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired <BR><BR>I am writing a query, and not using a stored proc,which i want to avoid<BR>My databse is a large, so is there any way around i can set this right.<BR><BR><BR>Thannks,<BR>Ragards,<BR>Vini

    You have to follow the general performance tuning things, like building indexes, identify slow running code etc.<BR><BR>A good website is www.sql-server-performance.com
