Default Manipulating a Gif File

I have gif files (both animated and static) that display a text message. I can go into my graphics program and change the text to something new. What I want to be able to do is make any changes to the text purely in ASP code.

Here's what I'm trying to do. Let's say I have a web page where the banner says "Hello World" . What I want is for someone to come to the site, enter some different words in an input field and have the gif file be changed to the new wording.

Is this possible in ASP (or maybe VB)? And if so, can you point me to resources where I can figure this out?

Thanks a bunch.

Ramon

Generally, you can't edit GIF files. This is because of the stupid Unisys licensing fees you have to pay (when I researched it 2 1/2 years ago, it was about $5,000).

Pick another format and stick w/ non-animated images. Something like;s control should work just fine.
