    Default Locktype Error

    Any body have any idea what this error means???<BR><BR>ADODB.Recordset error &#039;800a0cb3&#039; <BR><BR>Current Recordset does not support updating. This may be a limitation of the provider, or of the selected locktype. <BR><BR>/c420/Login.asp, line 198 <BR><BR>I have no locktype set in my script here it is<BR><BR>UpdateDataBase.addnew<BR><BR> UpdateDataBase("Username") = request("Username")<BR> UpdateDataBase("Password") = request("Password")<BR> UpdateDataBase("Secretquestion") = request("Secretquestion")<BR> UpdateDataBase("Secretanswer") = request("Secretanswer")<BR> UpdateDataBase("Email") = request("Email")<BR> UpdateDataBase.update<BR> UpdateDataBase.movelast<BR><BR><BR><BR>

    Default With no locktype, you get readonly...

    ...so of course you can&#039;t use AddNew.<BR><BR>See the ASPFAQs for a discussion of how to use AddNew. The question that talks about this is the one that shows how to get the ID of a just added record. By me, update last April. Read the part about cursor types and lock types.<BR><BR>
