i have got this website that involves asp pages which worked fine when i was testing them using the localhost..but when i uploaded them ....now it shows the code instead of the pages ...whats the problem????
how verty strange. I thought perhaps your server was sending and unrecognised or text-only content-type header, so I logged in with telnet to read the headers.

guess what I got?

telnet www.pdrs.com.au 80
GET /pdrs/zips/test/index1024.asp

404 Not Found

Not Found

The requested URL /pdrs/zips/test/index1024.asp was not found on this server.

Apache/1.3.22 Server at www.onthe.net.au Port 80

strange that it's reporting itself as Apache eh? looks to me like it's a 'reverse proxy' or something similar acting as a gateway. I wouldn't rule this out as the problem.

now, Netscape's 'page info' is reporting the content-type header as text/plain so obviously there's a problem there. try explicitly setting

Response.ContentType = "text/html"

j
http://rtfm.atrax.co.uk/
