Default IIS page request logging question

    Hi,

Here's the situation....
I have a page http://www.example.com/index.asp and on that page, I have links that go to:
http://www.example.com/index.asp?viewtype=a
http://www.example.com/index.asp?viewtype=b
http://www.example.com/index.asp?viewtype=c

My question is my webmaster uses Analog to generate reports on the Windows2000 IIS 5 logs and the page requests stats show the page requests for http://www.example.com/index.asp as 5000 (like a cumulative stat). It doesn't show the stats for the breakdown of index.asp meaning I want to see the stats for the pages with the querystring. Is this possible? Is there an option in IIS that allows it to log the pages with querystring? Any info is greatly appreciated. thanks!!

Thien

    Default what is Analog?

    What logging format are you using? IIS, NCSA, or W3C? IIS and NCSA append the querystring to the requested page by default, while in W3C you need to turn it on.
website->properties->web site tab->logging properties->extended properties->URI Query
You should check to see if your reporting program can parse the data correctly.
BTW, I didn't know the answer to this at first. Just by digging around it's amazing what you can find.
~~Chaotix
